MK Technologies has designed an effective coil spring tester that will take the guesswork out of checking any spring. We utilize a force-centring design that allows the energy in the spring to be concentrated into a single point. This design eliminates coil-bind within the spring and cancels the undesirable effects of compression that give false ratings.
The fact that the coil spring surrounds a threaded rod ensures safety, as the spring is captive between the top and bottom flanges.
The tester itself is lightweight and can easily be lifted with one hand. A digital force indicator displays the load put out by the spring and a digital linear scale included to show the amount of compression applied.
The tester is accurate to ± 2 lbs, repeatable to within ± 0.005" during compression or release.
Our spring tester can be ordered to suit any spring. Valve springs, chassis springs for road race, stock car or drag cars, as well as any industrial applications where springs are used. We even supplied an elevator manufacturer with a tester for their 96" long, 4" ID springs!
